Expats Struggle To Find Their Feet But Most Stay For The Long Term

A recent international study on the global professional workforce carried out by Expat Explorers founded by Helen McClure looks at how long it takes people to settle into expat life and how long they live as expats. The results have formed the basis of her book, Do they eat soup in England?

Although it takes nearly a quarter of expats more than a year to feel settled, on average they go on to spend between five and 10 years abroad, according to a new study.

Working Hours Not Key To Expats’ Improved Work-Life Balance

New research by Axa – Global Healthcare suggests that for many expats other factors, including the way in which they spend their downtime has more impact on their work-life balance than the prospect of working shorter hours.

Get Access To A British GP Without Returning To The UK

Access to healthcare is a one of the uncertainties for British expats living in other EU countries, particularly if there is a no deal Brexit. GP On Demand can give expats access to British qualified GPs to get the health advice they need.

Great as the British NHS might be, it is under some strain and there are increasing problems and delays in making an appointment to see your GP. So the demand for telephone and on-line access to a GP provided by private services in the UK is becoming increasingly popular. GP on Demand UK service is an example of that.

GP on Demand provides access by telephone to a UK based, NHS registered GP 24/7 365 days a year and a video consultation between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m. (London time) for those consultations which would benefit from visual interaction. This service is now being made available to expats.
